Charlton Hall | March 2022

We managed to catch Charlotte & Conor for a story telling shoot the night before the celebrations, just before they were meeting loved ones for a family dinner ahead of the wedding. We love learning our couples’ love stories and the closer to the big day the better. For this to happen with just hours before they were saying their vows was pretty special! We even managed to squeeze in a super quick stroll afterwards in the sand dunes at Newton-by-the-Sea. Watch their beautiful day unfold and read all about it below!

Charlotte & Conor’s story features a hangover, a lime green tracksuit and a realisation that with each other they both know that they can truly be themselves (sounds like Netflix need to buy the rights to it!). We were lucky enough to get to film their story telling shoot in the wedding venue itself; Charlton Hall.

Charlton Hall is a quirky venue in Northumberland with room for a large chunk of your guests to stay onsite - always ideal to have a short walk to your room than organising taxis! All of the bedrooms in the main house are individually decorated, each with their own personality. There is a room called Charlotte, so with both our bride and one half of Hello There Films with the same name, it all felt a little bit meant-to-be! If you get a chance to visit, don’t forget to say hello to George the giraffe on the stairs - he’s lovely.

The morning of the wedding finally arrived! As Charlotte was getting ready she had serious Bridget Bardot vibes *swoon* and the atmosphere was so fun with Charlotte’s full army of TEN gorgeous bridesmaids! Charlotte had two dresses, iconic shoes (Manolo Blahnik: Hangisi) and a denim jacket emblazoned with ‘wife of the party’ on the back - all adding up to a killer wedding day look. Conor chose a timeless blue-checked three piece suit paired with some also iconic shoes (Gucci loafers). Gorgeous and well dressed - these two certainly were a treat for the eyes! Their wedding flowers really sang out that spring was finally here: dreamy blooms in pastel hues all tied up with pale blue ribbon that made our hearts sing.

After the ceremony, with absolutely lush vows that they had written themselves (we *may* have cried), we whisked Charlotte & Conor away for a little drive in the e-type Jaguar they had rented for the day. They couldn’t have looked any more glamorous if they tried! We could have accidentally stayed in the wooded area all day with these two glamourpusses, but we tore ourselves away, afterall they had a drinks reception to get back to! Charlotte & Conor’s British bulldog, Tyson, made an appearance too, who was a massive hit with the crowd.

After some brilliant speeches and then dinner, Charlotte got changed into a sequinned sheath dress. We had a lot of fun when we nipped into the library where Charlotte danced on a table surrounded by disco balls. As if that wasn't cool enough, Conor picked Charlotte up and spun her around all lit up by a spotlight - what better way to get in the mood to dance the night away??

Then Charlotte & Conor re-joined their guests on the packed dance floor, everyone dancing to their expertly curated playlist . . . something told us that the party had only just got started.
